The Challenge
People’s Preparatory Charter School in Newark, New Jersey welcomed it’s first 9th grade class in August 2011 and grew to full capacity (9th through 12th grade) by graduating their first class during the 2014-15 school year.
In 2012, when the relationship with Atarah Software began, People’s Prep wanted to upgrade their website to facilitate this expected growth by attracting and engaging students’ families, teachers and donors.
In 2014, the relationship took an additional step as they desired to redesign their website to address the realized growth of the school. They had since added two additional grades, at least doubling in size with both students and staff; and they where preparing to graduate their first class.
The Solution
Atarah Software provided full design and development services to give People’s Prep the professional website it needed. By creating a custom WordPress theme and using responsive web design, the new site engages audiences with it’s clean design and wealth of information.
The site allows the school to accept enrollment and employment applications online as well as collect donations. The customized theme also enables the staff to manage the website internally.
